Be not afraid neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you whithersoever you go! Though your situation may seem bleak, the Lord told me to tell you, do not quit! The secret to overcoming your challenges is locked up in a dynamic spiritual force called persistence. Learn to unlock this supernatural power in your life today!

by Gillis Triplett

In life, you will face situations and circumstances in which the only way you are going to see victory is if you persistently attack your barriers until you win. You will not triumph by any other means.

In Nehemiah - chapters 1 through 7, Nehemiah was charged with rebuilding the city of Jerusalem. It was a monumental task that satan adamantly did not want to see come to pass. The devil never wants to see a child of God prosper, walk in good health, have peaceful home or enjoy a blessed marriage.

When Nehemiah announced his plans to rebuild the city, the scriptures reveal that satan’s soldiers were grieved exceedingly that a man had come to seek the welfare of the children of Israel. From the time Nehemiah and the team started the rebuilding process; they were thrust into a tense war zone.

Their demonically inspired enemies laughed them to scorn, conspired to kill them, fought against them, laid traps and wedged numerous barriers in front of them in an attempt to halt the plan of God.

The satanic pressure had become so intense that at one point Nehemiah had to lift up his voice and say to the people, “Be not afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight…”

Like the children of Israel, you may be facing some serious life threatening, satanically inspired barriers.

If so, I’ve got some good news for you!

The Word of the Lord has come unto you saying, “BE NOT AFRAID! Remember the Lord!" You know The One? The same Lord who cracked open the Red Sea… the One who kept the three Hebrew boys from being devoured and the One who caused the axe head to swim! The Lord is with you and for you.

NOW STAND UP AND FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH!

Don’t back down in the face of adversity or barriers. Remember,

El Shaddi is with you! The great “I AM,” has your back! He will make a way out of no way and open up doors no man can shut!

The 7th chapter of Nehemiah starts off like this, “Now it came to pass, when the wall was built…” Drill those four words, “It came to pass," into your spirit. What your situation looks like right now may not be pretty. The bills may be piling up. The symptoms in your body may be screaming, “Give up, you're going to die!” God’s vision for you family, ministry or business may seem utterly unachievable.

But the Word of the Lord has come unto you, saying, “It shall come to pass!” What shall come to pass? The will of God for your life... as you persist until you succeed! Take the Sword of the Spirit and make the devil understand that you mean business! Start prophesying to the devil and to his demon cohorts. Let the devil know, "It's not over until I win!"

Although they faced impregnable barriers, the children of Israel reigned victorious because they persisted until they succeeded. You may have to do like David did and encourage yourself in the Lord. After you do so, pick up your sword and get back in the battle!

Be persistent until you succeed! Persist in prayer! Persist in meditating on the Written Word of God! Persist in adding action to your confessions of faith! Persist in praise and worship! Don't let up! Don't give in and don't become discouraged.

Persistence is your barrier breaker! Because of your dogged determination you will see the promises of God fulfilled in your life!

Meditate on Hebrews 10:35-37 and then Shout Halleluiah!
